In 1998, the author was mesmerized by the Nissan Skyline GT-R while playing Gran Turismo. Years later, they acquired a 1992 R32 GT-R, facing challenges during restoration. The project escalated from basic maintenance to extensive upgrades, enhancing performance and aesthetics, culminating in a reliable streetcar embodying childhood dreams and friendships forged along the way.
In 2015, the author purchased a 2004 Forester XT and initiated extensive modifications, transforming it into an OEM+ Forester STI. Despite theft setbacks, they enhanced performance with an EJ257 engine, JDM parts, and a 6-speed STI transmission. The build ultimately resulted in a reliable, powerful daily driver, producing 380awhp.
